John Skewes and Trevor Wilkinson joined forces over ten years ago to design an industry leading line of professional yet affordable guitars. As a result of the cooperation, the instruments of the Vintage family also contain the best Wilkinson guitar parts in their price range. For example, Wilkinson developed a tuning mechanism called EZ-LOK which works like a locking tuning mechanism but does not require mechanical tightening. No strings are loosened by using vibra bar and strings always return to the same pitch. The same goes for Wilkinson guitar pickups. Wilkison produces relatively inexpensive pickups that sound as good as world-class guitar microphones.
